On Sunday, June 12, Brookline and Chestnut Hill Cultural Care Host Families, Au Pairs and Local Coordinators had a great time visiting the Fenway Park. We all met at the Red Sox Gift Shop were some kids, and au pairs bought Red Sox hats. Then, we took the behind-the-scenes tour. We visited the whole park, from the State Street Pavilion to the Green Monster. Inside, we went through the Red Sox Hall of Fame where the kids enjoyed looking at the team’s history plaques. We also got to sit in what our guide said were the oldest seats in baseball. It was a fascinating experience for our foreign au pairs who learned about the Red Sox history and amazing facts such as that “The score board is still posted by hand inning by inning.”
Thank you everyone for joining us in such a fun event! More pictures of this event are posted under my photo tab.
